Iris is a human person living in San Diego. Her household includes two dogs, one cat, several well mannered plants, and zero other humans. The newest addition to her family is a poblano pepper plant named Poblano Picasso the Third, son of Poblano Picasso the Second.

In her spare time, Iris can be found reading, drawing, cooking, gardening, talking with friends, or sleeping. Her dreams include opening an art gallery, and clearing her email inbox.

If Iris had been born male, her mother would have named her Hobbes after the stuffed tiger in the Sunday comic strip.
